Formula to calculate marks percentage

The basic formula to find percentage from marks is:

Percentage = (Marks obtained ÷ Total marks) × 100

Example:

  • Total marks = 100
  • Marks obtained = 78
  • Percentage = (78 ÷ 100) × 100 = 78%
